Yesterday Alaska Governor Bill Walker announced his enthusiasm for working with the Federal government to resettle refugees from the current Syrian conflict to wherever they (the Federal government's contractor) deem appropriate. This cooperation was announced after a briefing (link included below) by several federal law enforcement agencies on security concerns concerning the 'vetting' of 'refugees' from Syria. In the last several days, over two dozen governors have raised concern over accepting these 'refugees' and have been on the receiving end of hostile rhetoric from The White House.
Now... let's look at a few facts surrounding this issue:
1. The United States has already brought in almost 3000 refugees from Syria since 2012.
2. The Departments of State and Homeland Security rely upon the FBI to do document vetting.
3. The Director of the FBI testified before Congress that his agency cannot thoroughly vet the Syrian refugees.
4. IS has on multiple occasions proudly announced that they are embedding fighters in the 'refugee' migration.
5. Syrian and European officials are saying that they know IS is embedded in the migrant groups.
6. Alaska and America are deep in-debt and simply cannot afford to take in more dependents upon the already strained social services systems across the nation.

Finally, if a person trolls around social media, they will easily see that a large portion of Alaska's involved population support the notion of Alaska joining the growing list of States that want to halt the Syrian immigration program. The people of Alaska are speaking and not quietly either... Why should any Americans be placed at risk from harm? The US and Alaskan Constitutions clearly say that Our resources are to be used for Our well-being and benefit First and foremost. This is what Our elected representatives swear an Oath to defend, not weaken.
If We don't let them in, the risks are reduced, decreasing demand for government growth in the security & welfare
