Purple Rain in Alaska?

Purple Rain in Alaska?
So, trolling down the main avenues of the Alaskan social media realm. Occasionally darting back and forth from side to side before safely returning to the center line, I have noticed an remarked increase in the crying and whining and suffrage that the folks on either side have begun voicing in the last several days since the outcome of both the US Senate race and the Alaska Governor's race finally settled in, unlike this year's Winter.
Usually there's snow across a great portion of Alaska and people are able to get out. They can engage in skiing, snow machining and ice fishing. But not this year, the abnormally high temperatures and the strafing of Typhoon remnants has bathed Alaska in rain. Is this the new weather pattern for Alaska?
But there's another rain that is falling as well and I'd like to dedicate the following video to those that feel like Alaska lost when she voted to Oust Sean Parnell from Juneau and Mark Begich from DC. No, Dan Sullivan may not have been the best choice, but I believe that We The People of Alaska are going to spend a bit more time watching what's going on. With the advent of social media, people can more quickly and effectively communicate and organize.
BTW... Purple Rain turned 30 this year, So let's take a look back at AK History from 1984. Ted Stevens won his US Senate race against John Havelock with a whopping 71.17% of the vote. Wow!

The PFD amount was $331.29 which equates to $762.15 @ a 2.82% annual inflation rate. This years dividend of $1884.00 would be worth $818.92. What this all works out to is that with inflation, the Permanent Fund payout is only worth about 7% more than it was 30 years ago. Wow!
Serial killer Robert Hanson was convicted of his heinous crimes.
And finally, this tidbit of trivia. Former Governor Palin competed in the Miss Alaska Pageant.
