Alaska's Fiscal Future...Where Do We Go?

For years the payout from the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation known as the PFD has been what many Alaskans consider as a staple.  This annual payout from the earnings of the Permanent Fund although seemingly “small” in the overall financial picture of most homes is still a part of the equation for many Alaskans.  Yes, it’s a “perk” of living in Alaska as was almost unfettered access to subsistence living… But if a few folks that support continued unfettered growth of Our government have their way, the PFD will soon be a memory of what Alaska was.

The State of Alaska is facing some serious fiscal choices right now and We must realize that the current level of government growth is unsustainable and unnecessary.  Relying upon volatile markets to be predictable makes absolutely no sense.  Alaska has to cut back government to sustainable levels without relying upon further financial requirements from the private sector.  It can be done…

I suggest that readers go and check out the United for Liberty “Alaskans at the Crossroads FY2017 Solutions” budget packet to familiarize themselves with what’s is being presented to legislators in Juneau this week by UFL-Alaska Co-founder and friend of mine, Michael Chambers.

The word from United for Liberty-Alaska's Michael Chambers in Juneau is "Excellent" ->
