Disabled By facebook

I haven’t posted on this blog site for quite some time… this is mainly because I was caught up in the social media platforms.  That has changed and probably for the good.  It has inconvenienced how I maintain contact with some real-world friends and family and how I keep up with local, regional and state news/happenings.  Here’s the short and skinny of what went down and why I think it went down.

Last week a dozen or so Alaskans were disabled by facebook in what We are calling the ‘Patriot Purge’. This action was taken without any warning and/or reason other than We had somehow violated their very ambiguous “Community Standards’.  Upon trying to get clarification of the issue, We were told that this action could not be reviewed and/or reversed.

In trying to think about what I may have posted that could be construed as offensive or in violation of ‘Community Standards’… I drew a blank.  In my postings on facebook, I always avoid using profane language, derogatory terms and reposting/sharing of ‘fake news’.  In fact, I always made the most earnest effort to fact check myself and to base my posts upon indisputable facts.

The only thing that I can think of that could have possibly led to my being deleted by facebook is the Alaska Rising Tide website and facebook page.  This website and page came about after a rather humorous online encounter with a couple of people.  These people chose to ‘troll’ several Alaskan Patriots and even took their obnoxiousness to the streets during a ‘BLM’ event in Anchorage.  In response, We took it upon ourselves to check them out and see what they thought they were all about.  During this, I discovered that their ‘organization’ had listed a URL for their website.

That URL led to an advertisement declaring that the domain name was available.  In being the diligent sharer of information and opportunity taker that I am, I purchased that domain and set up a blog based website at http://www.alaskarisingtide.org. The posts on the website are fairly bland and of course done with the purpose of sharing information about Alaska issues.  One of the latest posts was one that questioned the massive amount of outside money support being garnered by a US Senate candidate that claims to be an independent.  That post actually earned me a phone call from someone within the campaign that couldn’t refute the content of the post but still tried to convince me to remove it.  That was NEVER going to happen.

There was also the very timely and relevant post titled ‘Defeat Division’ which is about the current hot button issue of Race in America. For that post, I turned straight to the source of what Creation is, the Bible.  Along with that topic, I also posted a piece entitled ‘What Is The III%?’ that discusses the often-raised confusion about what a Patriot actually is as opposed to what the corporate media and liberal/progressive crowd likes to think about Us.

The only other aspect of my social media presence on facebook that I can remotely link to warranting my deletion is that I often choose to call out local people that I actually know on their blind faith in corporate politicos and ideologies. I know that this has drawn the ire of people from both ends of the socio-political spectrum, but I just can’t abide seeing influencers and elected officials regurgitating the same ole’ same ole’ minutia and others just sucking it up like it’s some elixir to solve the world’s woes.  I have found in most cases these people are so high on their own egos that they forget that Earth is the creation of God and that his will is the only one that actually matters.

So… I will be randomly posting on random topics here: http://jonrcorbett.blogspot.com and on Alaskan issues here: http://www.alaskarisingtide.com

PS… can someone that reads this please share it to facebook and hopefully to the CBGB group and Bristol Bay Community Group too?  Quyana!
