Being Bold...Standing Tall

Something Different…

Well, I’ve been maintaining this blog for a little over 4 years now.  During this time I have ranted about all sorts of topics ranging from Pebble Mine to the current Hijrah.  Some of the subjects are of particularly significant interest to me and some were fleeting concerns that really haven’t much impact upon anything.  But one thing I have tried to do is back up the stuff that I post with facts.  Which brings me to today’s rant… Politicking from the Pulpit.

“When the righteous rule, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
Proverbs 29:2

Yesterday as I was working with a friend on installing a new window at my restaurant, he asked me which church I attend.  I told him that I go to the Dillingham Bible Fellowship and then asked why I didn’t go to the church directly across the street.  As usual I was quite blunt and told him that it was the ‘preacher’.  I went on to explain that We had been attending the church in question but that he had gotten into politicking from the pulpit.   I also went on to explain that this wasn’t necessarily a bad thing and that I personally thought that the pulpit is an excellent place to air ‘political’ views.  Upon hearing that, he looked a bit confused and then asked me again about why We didn’t attend there.

I went on to explain that if a Preacher felt compelled to preach and politick from his pulpit, he should make damn sure he knows what he’s talking about.  “Huh?” was the response and I felt obliged to expound upon my answer.  That went something like this…

“During the last election cycle the preacher had decided that he would speak out against the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol of which I was an ardent supporter and went so far as to point out that there were people in the congregation that supported the initiative.  He continued and said that we were promoting sin and the downfall of society.”   Now, that’s fine to have those opinions… but when I questioned him about his stance, his only response was to say that Cannabis is evil and leads to the destruction of family and faith.  Yep… that was his answer.

Now, I was a bit perturbed by this but now to badly and decided to ignore it.  But then again he brought it up a few Sundays later.  He went through this whole list of things that were happening across Alaska and America that in his opinion were helping to bring about the downfall of society.  He focused on Cannabis legalization and the abandonment of Israel by America.

Seriously… that what he chose to make his point on the downfall of America.  He never mentioned the growing LGBT movement, greedy warmongering and the dumbing down of America’s education systems.  Perhaps he chose to ignore the homosexualization of America because there was one sitting directly behind Us that is know to be quite defensive/offensive when it comes to that topic… perhaps he’s unaware that the US government and numerous NGOs send million upon millions of American dollars to Israel annually and perhaps he doesn’t know that Cannabis was long known as a natural remedy and pharmaceutical aid before the lobbying of Big Pharma and Georgia-Pacific had it federally classified as a controlled substance.  Perhaps he doesn’t know why he’s preaching from a flawed perspective of ‘right and wrong’ and working to further the tyranny of government instead of the liberty of Man.  When a preacher decides to politick from the pulpit… He or She should make sure that they are knowledgeable of the topics and are doing it from a perspective that actually endorses the teaching that the Bible and more properly the New Covenant convey.

"The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.  I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”  2 Samuel 22:3-4

If you speak out to support Israel… understand that the State of Israel is not the “People of God” and that the actions of Man that created that State were not done to help bring about the fulfillment of prophesy, but to aggravate the Muslim nations that control the carbon fuels that the Earth has become so dependent upon.  It was known that the new industrial revolution following WW2 would require massive amounts of fuels and that the only way to meet that demand was to have a foothold in the Middle East that would allow for constant conflict that Great Britain and America would have to intervene in and maintain a tacit control of the region…thus the resources as well.   Pacts with the governing peoples in the Arabian Peninsula were made and the resource extraction giants from Great Britain profited from them, as did the industrial war machine developers of America.  This is what happened…. Not the creation of a Theocratic State for the Jews.  Israel was an excuse and the government that was created was allowed under false pretense to ‘defend’ itself from the original occupants of the area by rounding them up and shoving them into concentration camps that operate to this day.

But let’s get back on track with the meaning of this post… politicking from the pulpit is not only acceptable, it is expected and there is nothing in the US Constitution that prohibits this at all.  The churches are the foundation of society and are to be the ones that reach out and maintain our communities.  Preachers are the members of those churches that are expected to take the teachings of the Bible and help people make informed decisions about their communities and their ‘leaders’.  This becomes quite complex in today’s convoluted society of equality for all and the ignorance of supposed “Separation of Church and State”, but the fact remains that the “Church” is the heart of community.

“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother,  but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.  For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’ Deuteronomy 15:7-11

Quite simply to finish this up… The times of persecution of Christian beliefs are upon Us and We are not to cower before this.  This is time in history to stand even taller and stronger together to defend the Church and to step up Our efforts at fulfilling the Great Commission.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

Honor Memorial Day

Today all across America millions of people are gathering with one another to celebrate ‘Memorial Day’.  They are eagerly heading off towards their local beaches or favorite picnic spots to grill hot dogs and have a brew or three.  Many are enjoying the company of friends and family while celebrating a holiday that allows them to temporarily escape their jobs and normal lives.  Most of them don’t even understand or even know what Memorial Day is all about.

FACTS Magazine, June 1946

Today all across America untold amount of American Veterans are without jobs and homeless after serving their nation in a fraudulent War for resource profits.   Many of these veterans suffer from medical and psychological traumas brought about while serving in the military and the systems supposedly set up to take care of them is a failure and even likened by it’s own leader as ‘waiting in line at Disney World.’  But guess what folks… this is nothing new.  This was also the situation 70 years ago in America following the end of the “War to end all Wars”.  The US Government has long maltreated veterans while profiteers flourish in the carnage.

Recently I picked up at a book sale a near pristine copy of the June 1946 edition of Facts Magazine.  Sgt. Edgar F. Byrns wrote the lead article in that issue that started like this:

‘From every section of the United States comes an angry cry: “Where are our jobs?” – “We can’t find a place to live!” – “We can’t even buy a white shirt.” – “We’re at the mercy of black marketers!” – What can American do about returning veterans who declare:

“You Have Sold Us Down The River!”

So as you gather around today... Please remember that many, many Americans before You made the ultimate sacrifices of life and limb to serve this nation.  Even though the reasons for War may be clouded and even corrupted, the fact that men and women have served selflessly to protect your rights and ways of life is not.  The best way to Honor Memorial Day is to stand up for the rights of those that have stood down the enemies of America and defended her.  We can do this by demanding that our government cease needless wars of aggression and take care of those men and women that have served Us.

Let's Ask Ted?

This morning a friend of mine posted a meme that showed someone proposed to be 2016 Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz’s father Rafael with Lee Harvey Oswald.  Looked somewhat legit, but I decided to click away for a short while and check it out.  Turns out that Ted’s father did reside in New Orleans at the same time, as Oswald and Cruz were both somehow involved with the Cuban resistance at the same time so, that’s that.  So… that’s about how clear that’s gonna’ get unless Rafael Cruz answers up to it.

I contacted the Wayne Madsen, the blogger that originally posted the pic and story… he says “A WDSU TV New Orleans photographer present at the scene.”

Speaking of Cruz’s family and more specifically his wife Heidi, did y’all know that she helped author a document for the Council on Foreign Relations entitled, “Building a North American Community” that says…

Lay the groundwork for the freer flow of people within North America. The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the governments’ physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America. A long-term goal for a North American border action plan should be joint screening of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these travelers within North America. (p.10)

That would suggest a treasonous treaty of nations that would harm the domestic tranquility of the united States of America… a Republic of sovereign states committed to a common defense.

But the real question is; Does Senator Ted Cruz support this CFR position?

America's 7%

7% of Americans are Veterans and it's time for Us to take care of each other and the whole!
