Happy Hump Day Once Again

If you have ever been issued a DD-214... Happy Veterans Day!

Yet another day comes around as I languish under the cloud of being the subject of an “ongoing investigation” by the City of Dillingham. I am told that they cannot discuss it but am also aware that it has been discussed with other citizens. Maybe I should just crank up the Spotify and try and drown out the plethora of questions that I have about this in my own head.

I’ve been advised to have no communications about this issue with anyone. I was also advised to ‘back off’ writing about anything concerning the City of Dillingham and the State of Alaska. So if y’all happen upon my blog and see something that may seem out of place... remember that my posts are randomness.

Oh... and for today’s casual listening, let’s go for some good ole’ 80s-90s pop metal injected with the awesome axe grinding of George Lynch. Here’s ‘Lynch Mob’ on Spotify:

#FridayFunk

As many of my readers and friends may know, I am an avid music fan and even dabble a little bit on the guitar some.  Most of the music, or as I prefer to cal it 'muzak', that I like tends to be in the head banging genre.  I grew up in a household that was mainly filled with classical and old time country and western.  In my early teenage years I became attracted to heavier stuff like Led Zeppelin, AC-DC and some punk.  As I grew older I moved away from the British sounds and found myself preferring good ole' American bands like Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.  The sounds of those 6-strings grinding away with melodic bass and vocals was really captivating to me as an angry young man.

Even as I have passed the ripe young age of 50 and become a 'responsible' adult with all manner of obligations, I still like to headbang. But I also enjoy other genres of muzak as well, but nothing grabs me like metal.  I've even started to like some hybrid muzak that mixes metal and rap. I should also confess that I've always been a undercover rap fan... not the gangsta' rap crap though.  My first recollection of liking a hip-hop song was the classic 'Rapper's Delight' from the 'Sugar Hill Gang' and then some rap masters from the 80s like the Fatboys, NWA and yes... even Tupac. Anyways.... the point of this post is to share some Spotify links to a few songs that I keep in a couple of playlists.
