USA-TWN-PRC

USA-TWN-PRC

So the US and UK with a few other nations have been conducting a massive show of force in the South China Sea… Why?  It’s because Taiwan being the rebel wanna be independent state that it is, depends on these other nations to keep China in check.  Taiwan by itself cannot be sovereign and has depended on billion$ over the past 70 years from US to maintain their facade.

But… let’s look at some reality in the actual threat of a PRC takeover of Taiwan. Any physical takeover in practical terms would require a massive air campaign to allow for troop movement to occupy the rogue province.  Both the PRC and Taiwan know that an amphibious ground invasion would be a disaster.  That’s why the Allied Naval forces are literally invading the South China Sea… to project power in Asia.  The Chinese have become more influential in Asia and Africa in the past decade because of economic reasons more than as a military threat. But the Allies keep on prodding and pushing and bullying.

So now the Chinese are rapidly advancing their military to answer for massive gatherings of hostile forces at their borders.  For those that follow such topics… it’s a well known fact that the PRC has made amazing advances over the past 20 years.  Do these advances also come at the cost of Americans tax dollars like the CV19 issue? It’s highly likely that these advances are because of the PRC college kids that came over here to study sciences… but let’s also not forget that the big ‘American’ defense and aviation sectors rely heavily upon China and even are helping them build new technology.

Below are a few links I looked up after writing the above rant… I think they sum this up nicely. The US influence in Asia is rapidly diminishing and even now the South Koreans are talking nice with The PRC.  This comes as Biden says he’s drawing down the US nuclear Arsenal while China is adding another 250-300 silos for nuke delivery systems and flying a hypersonic drone around the globe.

Meanwhile Biden is off prancing around in Europe… and where’s Kamala? Certainly not at the Border PLP or in DC doing her damn job. Tiddlywinks Anyone?

Locked Up Safe Inside…

Go Home and Lock The Doors Folks! Quarantine and hide your faces because your told to do so… let the government rule your entirety.  Reminds me of rebel inc’s ‘Time To Kill’ song from 2012…

“SO THIS IS HOW,

 THE FUCKIN’ GREAT AMERICANS DIE.

LOCKED UP IN THEIR HOUSES,

WHERE IT’S SAFE INSIDE.

CAN’T YOU ALL SEE,

THAT THE WAR’S GOIN’ ON?

RIGHT OUT IN THE STREETS,

ON YOUR OWN FRONT LAWN.

WAKE UP EVERYBODY,

CAUSE WE’VE ALL BEEN PLAYED.

OPEN YOUR EYES,

 YOU’RE NO LONGER A SLAVE.

ONLY A BULLET,

THAT CAN OPEN OUR CAGE.

AND WE ALL BREAK FREE!

WE ALL BREAK FREE!”

DLG Council Candidate Survey

Last week I reached out to a dozen or so local residents that own property and run businesses in Dillingham.  I asked for their assistance in composing a list of questions for the people campaigning to represent Us on the Dillingham City Council and as Mayor.  The response was overwhelming with many of the people asking a lot of the same questions… here Ya’ go folks. I suggest that if you like the list… copy and paste it into an email to the City of Dillingham (communitysuggestions@dillinghamak.us) as a suggestion for the upcoming ‘debate’ on September 27, 28 and 29, 2021.

In order to help voters become informed about the issues surrounding governance in Dillingham, We submit the following questions to candidates seeking to be elected to two council seats and the position of Mayor.  As the election is fast approaching it is expected that responses be returned no later than September 25, 2021 so that voters can have ample opportunity to review response and make informed choices when casting their votes.

  1. What do you see as the single biggest issue facing the City of Dillingham in the next 3 years?
  2. What do you plan to do to help curb deficit spending by the City of Dillingham?
  3. Will you support the City of Dillingham providing funding for the Dillingham City School District if the curriculum contains social justice and/or critical race theory based education supplements?
  4. Will you support the increase of any taxes on sales, services and property within the City of Dillingham?
  5. Will you support the maintaining of EO 2020-22… the ‘permanent emergency’ ordinance that ceded the council’s regulatory authority to the City Manager?
  6. What can the City of Dillingham do to help keep more of the commercial fishing fleet based out of Dillingham thus increasing it’s economic impact upon our community?
  7. What can the City of Dillingham do to help increase economic opportunities for residents?
  8. What can be done to increase job performance of City employees and/or contractors to make sure We the taxpayers are getting our money’s worth?

We look forward to your replies.

Thanks,

Jon Corbett

Conflicted...

Conflicted...

For my entire life I have been taught that at some point the earthly will forsake God and a reckoning will come upon the Earth. One half of boanerges was revealed to by God about the ‘End Times’ of the failed earthly kingdom. In Revelations, John foretells of immorality becoming societies benchmark and the public persecution of truth and God. He also speaks of the people being required to swear allegiance to a ‘beast’ and take a mark that would be required for conducting everyday life.

I wrote about this in 2013 after I had to do some research to successfully back up something I had said on fbook.  Here’s a link to that blog post: http://jonrcorbett.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-rfid-mandate.html

This post however is about Luciferase. This ominous sounding name is in reference to what the function is... which is to illuminate under certain man made conditions to mark the presence of certain antibodies. I’m not gonna’ spell it again so included is a graphic summary. I’m also throwing in a few links to help others do some learning and thinking about what’s happening...

Permanent Emergency

Personally, I do not believe that the City Council is even considering letting the Permanent Emergency Ordinance sunset.  Just the way the extension was written and introduced as a done deal seems to be evidence enough.

“Introduced: March 4, Public Hearing: April 1, 2021 Adopted:, 2021

Section 1. Classification. This is a non-code ordinance.
Section 2. Declaration of Emergency. The council declares that the coronavirus

threat and impact remain a public health emergency.

Section 3. Authority. This ordinance is enacted pursuant to the general police powers of the City of Dillingham, and the City’s authority to regulate use of public facilities such as streets and highways and the Dillingham Port.

Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance extends Ordinance No. 2020-22(S) in its entirety, to September 3, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. unless adjusted by action of the City Council.

PASSED and ADOPTED by the Dillingham City Council on April 1, 2021.”

That’s a straight copy and paste from the minutes of the March City Council Meeting.  Here’s the link for entire minutes…. The extension of 2020-22 is on pages 65-67.

Oh, and by the way…

When did the voters of Dillingham ever approve the current taxation system as required by law?

What If...

 Yay…

It’s Monday again and thankfully the news cycle is a bit tamer than it was last Monday.  Somethings have transpired that have thrown some people off and even pissed quite a few others off, but that’s how life throws things at Us and we have to do the proverbial ‘roll with the punches’.  So, if your POUS candidate didn’t come out ahead and is a soon to be footnote in American history, join the club.  I haven’t voted for a mainstream corporate party candidate in years knowing that the odds were slim to none of being satisfied with the outcome.

Now it’s time for Americans to look towards trying to figure out our way up out of the mess that the whole Covid-19/Corona virus issue has become.  Despite the incredibly low mortality rate of CV-19 infections, the governments still operate as if it is the greatest threat to our nation since al-Qaeda supposedly led the attack on the US in 2001 that kicked off the last 20 years of the ‘War of Terrorism’ that has led to trillions being expended to bomb and subjugate huge swaths of the Middle East and Africa. Yes Covid-19 is real and people have gotten sick and died from it, but it’s not the overwhelming threat that has been claimed.  I do feel for those that have suffered from it and for those that have lost loved ones and family to it.  I pray that God shows his mercy upon them.

But moving on to more pressing matters at hand… the recovery of the republic.

Over the past year or so, We have seen a wide variety of political shenanigans leading up to the Biden/Harris victory and the divisions between We The People widened.  Most of this growth in the dividing of the people was fueled by the ever-present overtones of corporate political parties and media entities that are out for one thing and one thing only; filling their bank accounts with our money and resources to further their own wealth and power.  The people of America and the states of the Republic have been duped time and time again into voting for those power-hungry personalities that want to do nothing but forward their own agendas at the cost of liberty and security of the people.

When I went to check my business email on Saturday, I did see a ‘headline’ that asked something like: “What happens if a President Elect dies before assuming office.”  It was originally a piece from WaPo that was published in May 2020 and then updated and published in August 2020 (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/05/16/what-happens-if-us-presidential-candidate-withdraws-or-dies-before-election-is-over-part-1/) .  And here’s the Yahoo! Search results of that question: https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=what+happens+if+joe+biden+dies+before+election&fr=yfp-t-s&ei=UTF-8&fp=1

Now that would surely be a mess to behold and I have little doubt that the far-left would do everything possible to make sure that Kamala Harris would become the nominee… despite the fact that she is as ingrained in the corporate political debauchery as most DCers. Please pray that God is with Us all and that is will prevails as America moves forward.

Dillingham Emergency Order #1

Last evening the City of Dillingham posted a 64 page supplement to the council packet for this evening's Council Meeting.  This is in addition to the 100+ pages they posted on Monday.  That posting of the packet on Monday did have some  of the more contentious items in Ordinance 2020-22 struck, but some of that is added right back in but worded differently.

"EMERGENCY ORDER #1 ESTABLISHING THE BASELINE CITY STANCE IN THE

TRANSITION FROM EMERGENCY ORDINANCES FROM THE CITY COUNCIL TO EMERGENCY ORDERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTINUE PRESERVE THE HEALTH OF ALL CITIZENS DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Emergency Order #1 - Effective at 11:59pm on November 5th,2020."

I suggest that people take the time to scroll through this yet another version of the City of Dillingham's Covid-19 plan.

Beating A Deadhorse?

Just reading the title of this permanent ordinance naming an ‘emergency’ says a lot about the calamity Dillingham Ordinance 2020-22 actually is.

“PUBLIC HEARINGS

a. Ordinance 2020-22(S); An Ordinance of the Dillingham City Council Authorizing the City Manager to Utilize the Emergency Operations Center to Promulgate and Enforce Regulations to Stop the Spread of COVID-19 in Accordance with the Recommendations in the City of Dillingham COVID-19 Mitigation Plan

This idea must be postponed for much further public discussion.  Making permanent the ‘emergency’ of Covid/Corona/CV-19 and the ambiguous ever-changing mitigation plan/policy is a far-over-reaching act.  It pretty much puts a perpetual infringement upon the people’s personal rights and their property. The Alaska Constitution says:

Preamble

We the people of Alaska, grateful to God and to those who founded our nation and pioneered this great land, in order to secure and transmit to succeeding generations our heritage of political, civil, and religious liberty within the Union of States, do ordain and establish this constitution for the State of Alaska.

Article I – Declaration of Rights

§ 1. Inherent Rights

This constitution is dedicated to the principles that all persons have a natural right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the enjoyment of the rewards of their own industry; that all persons are equal and entitled to equal rights, opportunities, and protection under the law; and that all persons have corresponding obligations to the people and to the State

K.I.S.S. Rule…

Sometimes things in life just do NOT have to be complicated.  Adding too much into a process can often serve counter to the purpose to begin with.  For example, when writing a letter to elected representatives of We the People, the author should strive to get the point across in the opening paragraph.  Adding too much verbiage and details that can be brought up later will often cause the reader’s eyes to glaze over and their mind to gloss over the entire intent.

This is especially true when dealing with complex topics that have many facets to consider… such as mitigation efforts to stifle the potential spread of a contagion that could possibly pose a potential risk to segments of the population. The issues surrounding the Covid-19/Corona virus are a myriad of emotions and science that can easily be construed to portray whatever a person wants them to say. Currently the Dillingham City Council is striving to maintain operations in a manner to keep people safe… but the language of proposed ordinance 2020-22 is far to ambiguous and essentially places our community in a perpetual ‘State of Emergency’.

After various communications with just two of the elected representatives of the people of Dillingham, I can pretty much say that the City Council is not going to ‘table’ the ordinance during next week’s meeting.  They have repeatedly communicated that they are not willing to hold a public in-person forum so that We the People may redress our concerns about the language of 2020-22.  This is disappointing to say the least… but is also very indicative of the issues that We face in getting the governance that We deserve from Our government.

K.I.S.S. - K.eep I.t S.imply S.simple

The US Constitution:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

That word ‘Congress’ is interchangeable with any term used to describe any position of governance such as assembly or council. The US Constitution is not a granting of any rights… it is a document that defines what the government cannot do and what rights We the People have secured as Ours.  When a government entity takes it upon itself to grow bureaucracy and ignore the people, then it has out served its purpose and must be replaced in order to stop the potential for tyranny.

10-19-2020 through 10-23-2020 aka FRUSTRATION & FUTILITY

On Monday, I posted a ranting about the newest version of the City of Dillingham’s proposed ‘Emergency’ ordinance as pertaining to the Covid-19 ‘crisis’.  In that ranting I used some stronger language than I normally do and I left out something that I usually proffer when I write about public issues, a suggested solution.  When I was asked about this, I had to stop and think about what a positive spun solution would look like.  I drew a blank…

This drawing of a blank is due to factors that are beyond my control and/or influence:

1.    Despite the overwhelming opposition to continued expansion of government powers of the people they are supposed to be representing, the elected officials in Dillingham have wholly chosen to ignore the people in favor of pandering to their good ole’ boy network of family, friends and co-workers. Those are the people that benefit the most from totalitarian governance and selective administration of the resources of the people.

2.    I do on a regular basis reach out and submit comments, suggestions and complaints to my elected representatives in all 3 levels of Our government.  I rarely get any response from the federal level other than stock reply messages with no follow-up.  On the State level, I get a bit more interaction depending on which legislators I reach out to on topics.  I never get replies from Senator Hoffman… and the only replies I’ve ever received from Representative Edgmon are complaints and admonishments based on my written rants.  Nary a reply to positive action suggestions on topics like intrastate drug trafficking, high shipping costs or helping our neighboring communities.  The same rings entirely true with my interactions with local elected officials… and I know that I am not the only one that has experienced these circumstances while dealing with the governments of We the People.

3.    Trying to play nice or using honey to attract interaction is proving to be a futile effort in today’s socio-political environment. So many people have been sucked into the self-glorification of politics and power that they have forgotten the basics of the American way and dream.  When I write to Our representatives on issues and such; I always remain civil, factual and offer thought out suggestions/solutions. For example… as a founding member of the fbook group called ‘theBAYpac’, I led the authoring of several pieces aimed at addressing some rather serious socio-economic issues that are taking their toll on Southwestern Alaska.  All of these commentaries were also sent/submitted to all manner or government entities. Guess what… no replies in the positive or negative.

So, what is it going to take to make the City Council ‘WOKE‽’

FRIDAY UPDATE:  Since Monday I have peened and transmitted a letter to the Mayor and the entire Council on the topic of ‘Emergency Ordinance 2020-22’ which I publicly posted here:

https://jonrcorbett.blogspot.com/2020/10/dillingham-emergency-ordinance-2020-22.html  I did receive one response so far from Mayor Ruby that indicated that she would share the letter with the Council and she said;

Just one thing that I would note.  We have had more participation in recent meetings than I recall having in many years and I presume that it is because residents have been able to call in to participate.”

Nothing about the actual substance of the letter at all.  This type of communications is what I have begrudgingly learned to accept from the elected representatives of We the people on all levels.  Just last week I sent a copy of my post called ‘Taxation Without Representation’ (https://jonrcorbett.blogspot.com/2020/10/taxation-without-representation.html) to the Mayor and Council… with one reply:

Chris Napoli

Thu, Oct 15, 5:44 PM (8 days ago)

to me

Jon,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Best regards,

Chris”

Not one mention of the actual topic… no follow through… no phone calls… nothing whatsoever.  I can show this to be the pattern that is situation normal for them for years. Now not to whine about this too much… but it is disheartening to essentially be ignored by elected officials on a consistent and regular basis.  When elected, they swear an oath to represent ALL constituents, not just their buddies and paycheck signers. The ideal of representative government is that ALL the people have a voice and you get out of it what you put in.  That is NOT what’s happening in Dillingham or the rest of Western Alaska... heck not in the rest of the republic either.  So, I ask again…

So, what is it going to take to make the City Council ‘WOKE‽’

Dillingham 'Emergency' Ordinance 2020-22 Letter to the Mayor and Council Members

 October 22, 2020

To:       Mayor Alice Ruby, City of Dillingham Alaska

            City Council Members

Re: Emergency Ordinance 2020-22

Dear Madam Mayor and Members of the City Council,

In reviewing the newest version of the ‘Emergency’ ordinance that is being proposed to replace the previous version of the ordinance meant to address the issues surrounding how to adequately deal with Covid-19, one thing is very apparent.  There is no need to expand any further powers to be granted to hired employees.  Specifically, legislating that an employee of the people of Dillingham be placed in the position of ordering medical procedures, ordering the seizure of private property, placing restrictions upon the free-will use of private property and/or suspending any enacted laws/codes. The Alaska Constitution clearly states that We the people are the rightful owners of our own property and the rewards of our own industry and further explains that the people are the source of government and that it exists for the equal benefit of all people.

The language being used in EO 2020-22 is ambiguous enough that a casual reader may comprehend that the ordinance is either designed to transfer power from the representatives of the people to a singular non-representative entity OR it is designed to expand the daily powers of the city government apparatus to what equates to be very much an over-reach.  Not long ago, I wrote a letter to the recipients of this letter on May 7 of this year and said this:

I am writing to voice a couple of concerns about the unfortunate situation that our community, region, state, nation and world find ourselves trapped in.  The only thing that can be said of this is that none of Us can predict what the outcome will be, but all of Us should be working cooperatively and responsibly to ensure that We do not create more government bureaucracy that servs to hinder individuality and personal successes of the people.  It’s a well-known fact that once a government entity chooses to create more of itself, it almost never undoes it.”

I would like to suggest that the Council consider putting any vote on Emergency Ordinance 2020-22 on hold until after a in-person public hearing is held where the people can all line up to speak to the issues on a first come, first serve basis.  Not in the typical format of speaking by appointment and by-favor, but one where the general public is allowed to be heard by the council and each other. There’s no reason that this cannot be held…and held very soon in the DHS Gymnasium with social distancing and masks.

Thank You for your consideration in these matters and I look forward to hearing back from You.

Sincerely,

Jon Corbett

Dillingham Standing Up and Together

Last evening a sizable group of citizens came together to discuss their concerns about the newest version of the City of Dillingham's 'Emergency' ordinance as pertaining to Covid-19. There was a general consensus as to what the purpose of the 'meeting' was about... the seemingly tyrannical actions that the City Council is proposing in EO 2020-22.  After a talk about on several topics related to the 'mitigation' efforts outlined in the onerous ordinance, the discussion moved into the action planning.

I'll be the first to say that the overall attitude towards doing something was very real and it was easy to tell that people are quite simply fed up with feeling ignored by the City Council.  But the real question remains about whether these people have the guts and stamina to follow through with the 'adopted' proposals and make something happen.  I know from my own personal experiences in dealing with local and regional politics that any opposition to their power will be met with all manner of nastiness.  Absolutely nothing is 'off the table' when it comes to what they will do to maintain their status quo.

I did speak privately to the event organizer and gave that person and a few others a 'sample' copy of the recall petition drafted against a member the council. I had been previously asked to hold off on pursuing the recall petition route until after the 'meeting' so as not to cause any conflicting action that could 'water down' the group's intent.  After the conclusion of the get together, several people did approach me about signing on as sponsors of the recall petition. I will be following up with several others today in an effort to gain the rest of the required signatures to apply for the recall petition.

But let's delve into why I believe this recall effort is the way to go for those of Us that want to see something happen sooner than later. The procedural process used by the City Council is mired down with enough rules and personal power that makes any action by the citizens difficult at best.  One of the reasons for this is simply because the existing long-standing power structure in Dillingham has insulated itself from We The People so as to continue their stranglehold on the public processes of Our government.  They have already proven that they primarily take counsel with the talking heads of the various BB entities that do not necessarily represent the will and/or consent of the general population.

The recall petition process is a tool that was designed to allow citizens to remove from office those elected representatives of We the People that have strayed from the scope and intent of their positions.  The Alaska Supreme Court has had very little to say/rule on concerning the recall process because they to realize the intent of giving the citizens a backup when elected officials don't do their job.  What is and has happened in the City of Dillingham is a perfect example of why the recall process was written to begin with.

The recall process is a three part effort that has to be done with a clear reason that is backed up with a statutory component.  In crafting the recall petition, we decided that using any of the 'incidents/actions' surrounding the Covid-19 'Emergency' ordinances has far too much gray area that is clouded with opposing science views and emotional baggage.  However, keeping simple the reason and approach to the language of the required 200 words of the petition is the most expeditious course of action to take.

My Body... My Choice!

Happy Monday Folks...

I had originally planned to post something today that I have been doing some reading and research on for sometime, but the actions of the Dillingham City Council have side tracked me.  I strongly suggest that you read this post and share it along with others.

As people begin to look through the ‘Emergency’ measures being enacted and/or proposed by the City of Dillingham, several things have stood out.  One of those is the Council granting unilateral power to hired employees to restrict travel, gatherings and even commerce. Putting aside the declared ‘emergency’ issues that some people believe are either overstated or understated; granting the power to infringe upon Constitutional rights to anyone, much less a government employee is crossing a line that should never, ever be crossed.  Another no go area is allowing a hired employee of the people to determine when ‘unrelated’ or ‘prohibitory’ laws can be ignored and broken. Allowing administrative impunity to any law is one of those things that caused the formation of this nation to which all elected officials swear an oath to protect.  I recommend for further reading; people should check out the links below. But to make it easier for those elected officials are too busy to do their own homework on what they swore that oath to… let me remind you of a few key points.

Last week the City Council introduced their newest Emergency Order which is an expansion of the last version which some changes. I suggest that people read pages 3-5 which outlines the scope of power that the Council wants to give to a hired employee of We The People. What’s interesting is that since the beginning of this long dragging ‘emergency’ the council has continued to expand these powers despite a very vocal resistance.  This is what the Alaska Constitution says…

“We the people of Alaska, grateful to God and to those who founded our nation and pioneered this great land, in order to secure and transmit to succeeding generations our heritage of political, civil, and religious liberty within the Union of States, do ordain and establish this constitution for the State of Alaska.”

Ҥ 2. Source of Government

All political power is inherent in the people. All government originates with the people, is founded upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the people as a whole.”

But let’s get back to this ever expanding ‘emergency’ ordinance being considered for revision by the Dillingham City Council…

“Introduce Ordinance 2020-22; An Ordinance of the Dillingham City Council Authorizing the City Manager to Utilize the Emergency Operations Center to Promulgate and Enforce Regulations to Stop the Spread of COVID-19 in Accordance with the Recommendations in the City of Dillingham COVID-19 Mitigation Plan”

But perhaps the most interesting power that they want to grant is the authority to order a medical procedure… a physical violation of a person based upon an ambiguous definition of what ‘symptomatic’ may or may not be.

“Order testing for individuals who are symptomatic or in other situations where testing may be appropriate to limit transmission of COVID-19;”

That is absolutely across every single line that exists between We The People and Our Government. Anyone that votes to approve these and any further changes to the ‘Emergency’ ordinance should seriously rethink their involvement in the public process of representing the people. Ordering the violation of any person’s body so as to classify them because of a medical reason goes way beyond violating the meaning “My Body, My Choice!”
